What This Part Is

The 02-1010-52 is the primary diaphragm for a 1 in Wilden-style air-operated double diaphragm pump — the flexible wetted element that moves fluid on each stroke. In the OEM numbering scheme, the 02-1010 family covers the 1 in diaphragm set, and the trailing code identifies the material: -52 = PTFE, -56 = Santoprene, -53 = Viton, -51 = Neoprene.

PTFE construction gives maximum chemical resistance — compatible with 98% sulfuric acid, strong oxidizers, halogen service and most industrial solvents. It is the standard choice for aggressive chemical transfer where elastomer diaphragms fail by chemical attack. Note the trade-off: PTFE is stiffer than elastomers, so a one-piece PTFE diaphragm runs at a slightly lower flex life in abrasive service — the composite (PTFE overlay) construction balances this.
